Enabling Vision – Benchmark & Educate

Successful implementations can only be built on a congruent relationship between standards compliance and practitioner insights; and it is this knowledge of application standards and the implications of noncompliance that our consultants bring to the table.

Latize’s facilitated workshop sessions assist you in building up organisational awareness of relevant Information Management standards, as well as regulatory compliance requirements. The outcome is clarity amongst business users as to their current status, as well as understanding of the required approach towards desired goals.

This extends to any organisation that embarks on an information management initiative. For example, at Records Management Institute (RMI) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, our consultants regularly conduct training for government agencies, the banks, water and power utility companies, to acquaint them with international standards and best practices, while benchmarking these against local norms. Through this process, companies are better able to recognise gaps in their programmes, and also strengths that they can leverage on.

Another important aspect of the enabling process is our Transition Management programme implemented through the Latize E-Cube³ Framework. This helps facilitate management and stakeholder buy-in, and for them to come to the realisation that they “don’t know what they don’t know”.

One such project involved a government agency trying to implement an EDRM system. Senior management, down to the junior staff, were resistant to change and still very much in the habit of paper pushing.

Through a Transition Management workshop, Latize educated the participants in the concepts and benefits of the project. We showed them where the industry was heading and presented cost-avoidance scenarios to support our position. We enumerated the value of project implementation through hard numbers. We are pleased to say that EDRMS roll-out transitioned smoothly shortly after.
